Mission Statement

Vincentian is a nonprofit health care and human services organization that provides a continuum of compassionate care, including independent living, personal care, memory care, short-term rehabilitation and skilled nursing. Vincentian coordinates several senior care, senior living and childcare campuses across the Greater Pittsburgh area and was founded in 1924 as a faith-based organization.

About Vincentian

Celebrating one hundred years of delivering compassionate care this year, Vincentian is focused on delivering quality care to our region’s most vulnerable. Many thousands of lives have been served by Vincentian, including over 2,000 in 2023. And last year alone, over $11 million in uncompensated benevolent care was provided by Vincentian to older adults. Most of those cared for in our long-term care communities cannot afford the care they need on their own, and Medicaid and Medicare reimbursement does not cover the true cost of care Vincentian provides. To fill that funding gap, Vincentian needs generous financial support from the community to ensure we can continue to deliver these high-quality services when our area’s most vulnerable needs us most.
