If your nonprofit is interested in joining the Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community as a participating organization, please complete the online application.
Organizations that have their own fundraising walk in Highmark's service area (Pittsburgh, Harrisburg, Johnstown, Altoona, Erie, Lehigh Valley, Northeastern Pennsylvania, or the state of Delaware) are not eligible.
Organizations that do not have a local presence in the location for which they are applying are not eligible.
To be considered:
- Organization must have current 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status with a health or human service focus.
- Organizations must have a staff member or volunteer that can attend all meetings/conference calls.
- Organizations must have a website.
Because Highmark Inc. manages and underwrites the entire cost of the Walk for a Healthy Community, the company no longer funds other or competing fundraising walks.
The application process for consideration participation for the Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community is now open.
Please complete the online application and submit by July 31 to be considered for the event
Notifications of acceptance for the event will be made in late August/early September.
All participating organizations have been notified. Registration for the event will begin on February 1.
