Welcome to the SsAM and Friends of SsAM Team page for the Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community. The 5K Walk will be on Saturday June 8th, 2024 beginning at Tubman Garrett Park in suport of Friendship House.
All the money raised by our walkers will benefit Friendship House, a ministry to the homeless in Wilmington, Delaware, including facilities at SsAM.
1 - Click the "Donate Now" button to make a financial contribution to Friendship House. You will be asked to make a secure credit card donation. Or if you rather do cash or a check, we can meet up and I can get your information and have it loaded on the system. Also, if you need to wait a week or 2 weeks to make your donation...just put $0 in the donate amount field for now and you/we can go back later and make your donation uploaded. I would at least like to get you as a registered walker.
2 - Click the "Join Team" to sign up as a walker. And check the waiver form. So please make sure you are feeling ok on that day/morning. Or if you're not up to walking, just do what you can or just come out to show your support. I'm trying to do better this year about getting people signed up/ Registered early because if we raise $2,000.00 and get 20 Walkers, an anonymous donor will make $1,000.00 to our team.
I appreciate you registering to walk and making a donation to Friendship House. It is my understanding that if you do make a donation of $30 or more, you will receive a Highmark T-Shirt.
