Mission Statement

The Mission of the Brain Injury Association of Pennsylvania is to foster a community of education, advocacy, supports, and research to maximize the quality of life for those with brain injuries and their families.

About Brain Injury Association of Pennsylvania

BIAPA Programs Include:

• The Brain Injury Resource Line (BIRL), which provides information about resources that may help people with brain injury or their family.
• Brain Safety Fairs, family-friendly events that provide education about preventing brain injuries. Some events include the fitting and distribution of free bicycle helmets.
• Education and training programs for people who have sustained a brain injury, their families, and the professionals who work with them.
• A state-wide directory of brain injury support groups.

The work of the Association is accomplished through paid professional staff and hundreds of volunteers. BIAPA is a 501(c)(3) organization and the official Pennsylvania affiliate of the Brain Injury Association of America.

BIAPA envisions a world in which people with brain injuries are leading fulfilling lives and participating in their communities. Your generous gift will help us to achieve that goal.
