Mission Statement

Life'sWork of Western PA is a non-profit organization partnering with adults and youth with disabilities, and individuals in recovery from substance use disorders, dealing with a family crisis, and struggling with other socioeconomic barriers to pursuing meaningful employment opportunities.

We empower people to live the life they choose by strengthening workplace abilities, building life skills (including self-advocacy), and developing meaningful relationships.

Since Life'sWork founding in 1927, more than 100,000 individuals of all ages with disabilities and other employment barriers have utilized the services of Life'sWork to achieve independence and self-sufficiency. : { We are devoted to making lives work better!

About Life'sWork of Western PA

Many of our clients depend on our services. For individuals like Nakeisha and David, our services were the lifeline they needed to maintain a sense of confidence and community during a time of change and uncertainty. And that work has now become even more vital.

We must meet the needs of the individuals in our communities with barriers to employment, who are struggling for employment while worrying about how they are going to provide for themselves and their families.
