Foster Love Project

Mission Statement

Foster Love Project shows love in action to children impacted by foster and kinship care through the provision of goods, services & support.

About Foster Love Project

Foster Love Project (FLP) was established as a 501(c)(3) organization in 2016 to ensure that children impacted by foster or kinship care have their emotional and physical needs met. In 2017, FLP opened the first, and only free shopping center in Western Pennsylvania to provide tangible support through clothes, bedding, cribs, hygiene items, and more. FLP serves 4,000 youth impacted by foster care and adoption each year through a wide variety of programs that promote dignity, connection, and Love in Action.

Today, Foster Love Project programs focus on providing connection, dignity, and hope. This is achieved by amplifying foster and adoptee voices and meeting basic needs that come with the unique challenges of foster care and adoption. Whether mentorship through Teen Connections, brand-name new shoes for youth preparing to go Back 2 School, or creating memories at the annual Family Support Weekend.
