The Kingsley Association's mission is to be the catalyst that fosters youth and community leaders through integral programs and services.

About The Kingsley Association

Founded in 1893 as a settlement house, the Kingsley Association (Kingsley) is a 501c3 organization that has met the community's need for organized social, educational, and recreational programs for 130 years. With a mission "to be the catalyst that fosters youth and community leaders through integral programs and services," Kingsley continues is long tradition of community-based human services and social reform through cultural, educational, and social programming for over 3,000 youth, families, and adults in the communities of Larimer Homewood, East Liberty, Garfield, and Lincoln-Lemington-Belmar each year.

Kingsley, holding a prominent role in our community, provides various programs and services for all ages. However, our passion runs deepest for our work with Black children and youth, emphasizing the importance of rich, diverse social experiences. We strive for high educational outcomes and healthy development among our children and young adults. We proactively address quality-of-life issues for youth and their families through our bespoke program interventions or referrals to city services and resources. Current programming includes Health & Wellness through our fitness center and pool facilities; Education and training in computer technology, GED, financial literacy, & early childhood development; a Family Center; and Community Sustainability and development to address housing needs, benefits assistance, & food distribution.
