About Ronald McDonald House Charities of Pittsburgh and Morgantown

RMHC Pittsburgh and Morgantown is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of children. Staying at RMHC allows families to be by their child's bedside as they face a variety of medical situations. With two houses, one in Pittsburgh, PA and one in Morgantown, WV, our Charity has the capacity to house 90 families per night in private single family living spaces. In 2023 families stayed an average of 28 nights at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Pittsburgh and Morgantown. This past year RMHC Pittsburgh and Morgantown families traveled from near and far for medical care for their child. Families representing 6 countries including Canada, Ecuador, Poland, and Italy stayed at the Charity. Additionally, we welcomed families from 34 different states.

In addition to the lodging program, the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Pittsburgh and Morgantown partners with UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh to provide the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile, a 40-foot vehicle designed and built specifically for the delivery of pediatric health care. Making up to six stops each week, the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile serves at-risk children in Pittsburgh’s underserved neighborhoods including Pittsburgh’s Bilingual Clinic on the South Side, Braddock, New Kensington, and the Hill District. In 2023, the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile held 183 clinics, serving 1,000 Greater Pittsburgh children! The Care Mobile pediatric services include routine physicals, vaccinations, vision screenings, blood lead testing, hemoglobin testing, asthma treatment and care, TB testing, sick visits, and much more, ensuring healthy communities and to allow children the opportunity to flourish and grow!
