Mission Statement

Our mission is to increase public awareness of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) across the nation and even globally, with an emphasis in the Pittsburgh tri-state region which is where we are based.

About NASH kNOWledge

NASH kNOWledge is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that is focused on raising awareness and providing education about liver health, specifically non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. 100 million Americans have fatty liver, 6 million children under the age 14 have a fatty liver, and 50% of US Hispanics have a fatty liver. Our organization was founded by a patient and liver transplant survivor to help others avoid his path.

We focus on community events and engagement to raise awareness in the community especially with educational programs at schools and in partnerships within the Hispanic/Latino community.
