Mission Statement

To provide specialized, intensive transitionally focused training for young adults graduating from traditional school systems who are diagnosed with autism spectrum, developmental and intellectual disabilities and who are moderately to significantly impaired.

About Austin's Place

Austin's Place is a day program for young adults that have transitioned from secondary learning (18+). The clients are diagnosed with varying degrees of autism, developmental and intellectual disabilities who are moderately to significantly impaired.

Austin's Place is named after the son of Bonnie and Victor Wilczynski who was born with multiple disabilities. Austin requires one-to-one support, as do many young adults diagnosed with severe disabilities. The Wilczynski's started this program so that Austin and others like him would have a safe place to go each day to refine life skills necessary to become contributing members in their local communities.

Austin's Place is truly a one-of-a-kind program because it provides specialized and enhanced staffing ratios (one-to-one support) that no other program in western Pennsylvania offers.
