About The Children's Institute Foundation

For more than 120 years, The Children’s Institute has been dedicated to improving the quality of life for children, young people, and their families serving more than 8,000 children and families each year across a specialized continuum of services. Through our Day School (serving 60+ school districts), outpatient physical and behavioral health services, education services, autism services, early intervention, and family support services (serving six counties in Western Pennsylvania), we provide cutting-edge care and resources for children and families with complex medical, behavioral, educational, and social service needs. Providing multiple services as one organization improves the continuum of care for our children and their families by allowing for collaboration across our programs to best position each child and family for success. We recognize that more integrated, holistic services are needed to serve the entirety of an individual and garner the greatest outcomes. The Children’s Institute is a trusted and respected expert, and we aim to eliminate barriers and increase access to exceptional healthcare and education for all children and young adults from birth through age 26. Across all our services, we seek to provide accessibility and hope for those we serve through our commitment to high-quality, individualized, and integrated care.
