My oldest son, Andy, is disabled due to brain injuries in 2011 and 2015. In my quest to get help for Andy and for my family, his caregivers, I found many answers and support from BIAPA. I now work and volunteer for BIAPA. I am passionate about supporting the Brain Injury Association of PA through fundraising and spreading their mission. The funds I raise will be used for critical programs, and will ultimately strengthen our community & SAVE LIVES!
I ask you to join the Andy's Warriors team for the Brain Injury Association of PA as a Walker (virtual or in-person) and get donations from your friends & family. Or if you can't participate in the Walk, make a Donation to the Team to show your support!
We'd love to see you on Saturday, June 1st, 9am at De Sales University in Center Valley for the Highmark Walk - a 1-mile Fun Walk or a 5K run for anyone that ambitious! There will be lots of giveaways, activities for the kids, and a beautiful walk through the campus suitable for strollers & wheelchairs, and it's a Dog-Friendly event!
The money we raise for BIAPA will help fund scholarships to the Annual Brain Injury Conference in Lancaster later this summer, the Brain Injury Resource Line (BIRL) providing information & resources for survivors & families, training for the school re-entry program BrainSTEPS, Free bike & ski helmet giveaways at Brain Fitness Fairs across the State, public awareness efforts, and advocacy at the State & Federal level.
