About CONTACT Helpline

 

CONTACT Helplines programs include an emotional listening support line; PA 211 health and human services information and referral; a Teen Line; a Safe Haven Helpline; and special projects. CONTACT Helpline has remained committed to providing person-centered, trauma-informed services to assist in empowering families and meeting the emotional and health, and human services needs of individuals. ALL services are free, confidential, and available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.

CONTACT Helpline is there for individuals and families during their time of need.  Services are available to all regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, lifestyle, age, educational background, national origin, religion, neurodiversity, or physical abilities.

 At any time of the day or night, any individual in need of help can call the emotional listening support services, dial 211,  text their zip code to 898211, web-chat, or search the PA 211 database.  The top reasons why people are calling the emotional listening support services are loneliness, mental/emotional health and stress/anxiety.  The top basic needs reasons why people use PA 211 services are housing/community shelters, food insecurities and utility assistance.
