About SCPA Sickle Cell Council

The SCPA Sickle Cell Council in Harrisburg is dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by sickle cell disease. Our mission involves creating a nurturing community where those with sickle cell and their loved ones find assistance, resources, and a supportive network. The council organizes various events, such as the recent Christmas party, to bring joy and connection to our community. Additionally, we focus on raising awareness about sickle cell disease, advocating for improved healthcare, and providing educational resources. Through collaborative efforts with our Board President, community health worker, and development director, we strive to enhance the well-being of those impacted by sickle cell in Harrisburg and people in the regions we serve.
