About Delaware Adolescent Program, Inc. (DAPI)

Our academic program provides instruction in 5 content areas with a one to four student/teacher ratio in most classes. This individualized attention, along with our blended learning, allows DAPI to design customized learning plans for our DAPI Daughters (students). We use PLATO/Edmentum and Schoology software to reach multiple ages and grades within in a single classroom setting in some cases. Our move to blended learning five years ago has increased our capacity to personalize lessons and maximize the potential for academic success. We meet the comprehensive needs of the DAPI Daughters by assisting them with health care, maternal health instruction, parenting instruction, social services and childcare coordination. We partner with community organizations to provide groups that cover an array of topics. Academics with therapeutic, topical groups help our DAPI Daughters to stabilize themselves in their new reality and begin to look positively toward the future with their families. We are pleased to have partnerships with private counseling firms that provide one on one therapeutic counseling to some of our students as well as group counseling.
