Walking for W.I.S.H.!
My name is Jasmine Cho, and I am a first-year Young Leaders Board Member of YWCA Pittsburgh. I am walking to raise funds and awareness on our W.I.S.H. Program!
YWCA Pittsburgh's mission is to empower women and eliminate racism. The organization hosts a number of programs that support the local community, and among them includes transitional and permanent housing support for low-income families.
The W.I.S.H. (Women in Supported Housing) Program specifically supports dually diagnosed individuals (substance abuse and mental illness) and their children with housing and intensive recovery. Currently, the YW supports 20 individuals in leased houses and apartments throughout the city. The goal of the W.I.S.H. program is to provide healthy support systems that will lead to self-sufficiency.
My goal is to raise a minimum of $500 for YWCA Pittsburgh in support of these programs, and my stretch goal is to double that amount to $1,000. One-hundred percent of your contribution goes to YWCA Pittsburgh, so any and all donation amounts help!
