Welcome to the Lending Hearts Board Team
To provide emotional and social support to children and young adults with cancer and their families through unique activities and community outreach in surviving treatment and beyond.
The vision of Lending Hearts is a world where children living with cancer don’t feel alone as Lending Hearts is a valuable resource addressing and assisting pediatric oncology patients and families in their time of need. Starting as a Pittsburgh-based nonprofit, we envision facilitating Lending Hearts services and programming at every children and young adult oncology treatment center.
About Lending Hearts
Lending Hearts was established in the spring of 2011 to provide support to kids and teens with cancer, those in remission from cancer and their families. This is done through the use of free educational and recreational activities and programming that are offered on a consistent basis as well as family and staff support within Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC.
Lending Hearts is an organization that keeps the focus on living, finding friendship, comfort and fun with friends and family and building a positive network with others going through similar experiences. It is through the support of others that Lending Hearts is able to fill this void in services within the region. Funds raised from this event go directly to the youth and families of Lending Hearts. Your support allows us to continue to lend our hearts to others. Thank you!
