Educating Teens, Inc.

Mission Statement

The mission of Educating Teens Inc., is to promote and advocate for HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention education for pre-teens, teens, and young adults.  Educating Teens, Inc. is committed to a comprehensive approach that addresses all facets of the youth experience.

About Educating Teens, Inc.

Educating Teens Inc. is grounded in the philosophy that when we educate our teens we are securing a healthy future. Today's teens are tomorrow's workforce, leaders, and decision makers. The investment in teenagers today is an investment in our quality of life for the future. Acknowledging that risky behaviors do not happen in isolation, a comprehensive approach is used that addresses self-esteem, peer pressure, alcohol and drug use, abusive relationships, violence, health, nutrition, exercise, and other issues that affect youth. Educating Teens Inc. takes into consideration the social and cultural experiences of youth; and provides prevention education, while empowering youth to make informed decisions about their health and well-being. Teens are encouraged to protect themselves and maintain a healthy life style.

Educating Teens Inc. invites your participation in its programming: Teen HIV/AIDS Awareness Days, Youth Peer Advocate Program, Live Life without the Disease Series for Parents and Teens©, Observance on National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day, Mother-Daughter Circle programming, Healthy, Wealthy, Wise Girls©, Awareness programs in schools,  and Project Hopes and Dreams© for Pittsburgh Manchester School.  Please plan to join us for the 13th Annual Red Ribbon Gala in observance of World AIDS Day, December 1, 2017.
