What is Alleghenies United Cerebral Palsy?
Since 1955 Alleghenies United Cerebral Palsy has been working to ensure that individuals with disabilities and their families have access to the service and supports they need to enhance their quality of life. The agency which is a non-profit, fully licensed by the Department of Human Services to provide a range of services under the home and community based waivers, ages 18 and over. Individuals who receive support and services through Alleghenies United Cerebral Palsy are better able to live their lives with a greater degree of independence.
What is the Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community?
The Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community began as a way for non-profit organizations to work harmoniously to raise funds to support their community mission. This year, the Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community will help raise funds for 19 local nonprofits. The uniqueness of the fundraiser is Alleghenies United Cerebral Palsy will be able to keep 100% of all funds raised, because Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield underwrites the entire event!
