The mission of Beginnings, Inc. is to enhance the development of children and empower their families by providing "the best start a child can have" as we work to enable children to reach their full potential developmentally and help families grow strong through early intervention, advocacy, and education.
About Beginnings, Inc.
Beginnings provides services through several programs. The Early Intervention Program is for children birth through three. Children who are found eligible, based on an evaluation by the county EI program, would receive free in-home services. Services could include speech therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, nutrition, special instruction, social work, and hearing. Our Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) Program trains volunteer advocates to become the eyes and ears of the judge and the voice for a child who is currently involved in the court system because of neglect or abuse. Our Parents as Teachers Program (PAT) is an evidence based in-home visiting program that helps parents through support and knowledge. This program is free to families with children before school age. The Family Foundations Academy Program provides parenting classes at various locations, to help strengthen families.
