Society of St. Vincent de Paul Food for Families

Mission Statement

Inspired by Gospel values, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, a Catholic lay organization, leads women and men to join together to grow spiritually by offering person-to-person service to the needy and suffering in the tradition of its founder, Blessed Frederick Ozanam, and patron, St. Vincent de Paul.

About Society of St. Vincent de Paul Food for Families

The Society works within the Altoona, Johnstown, St. College area providing assistance to those in need through a number programs including Food for Families.  

In the Johnstown area FFF coordinates food distribution to 18 Cambria County food pantries and several other agencies providing as many as 7000 people with needed food. BREAK In addition Food for Families operates a Family Kitchen in Johnstown serving a noon meal without charge to all in need. Hot meals are served Monday through Friday by the Society and on weekends by Saturdays Kitchen. As many as 200 meals per day are provided.
