Help Support Susquehanna Service Dogs
SSD Dakota is ready to walk in the Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community! On May 20, she and I will be walking to support Susquehanna Service Dogs. Our goal is to raise $500 for SSD. That's enough to cover food for one litter of puppies!
Dakota is in the middle of her journey to become a service dog. Right now she's with her raiser (me!), where she's learning 26 different cues and behaviors. In less than a year, she'll enter advanced training, where she'll be individually trained for her future partner. This little black lab is going to change lives! SSD raises, trains, and places service dogs to assist children and adults who have autism, physical disabilities, mental illness, and hearing loss, as well as military veterans. It takes about two years to fully train a service dog, and each dog is trained specifically for their human partner's needs.
Thank you so much for supporting me and Dakota in the Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community!
