About The Warming Center at the Mental Health Association NW PA

On any night when the overnight temperature is forecast to be 25 degrees or below, the MHA opens its doors, accepting anyone who needs to come in from the cold during overnight hours. "The WARMING CENTER at MHA", provides shelter, safety, food, coffee, activities, conversation, support, and a place to "nap" for those needing to rest. Men, women, and families who are homeless or otherwise unable to have shelter through the night can come in from the cold to get warm, have something to eat, talk to someone, watch a movie and above all be safe. They can come for the night or may just come for a brief visit. It is a welcoming place for those in need. Unlike homeless shelters, we do not have beds, although some of our visitors are able to get much needed rest while at the center.
