Mission Statement

Humanitarian Social Innovations supports the founders of charitable programs that improve the quality of life for humanity. Bridge Beyond Addiction, a program of HSI, seeks to combat the onslaught of substance use disorder and overdose deaths in our community. Striving to be the bridge between inpatient treatment and a sober living community, BBA provides scholarships to help finance a safe and supportive living environment for those on their recovery journey.

About Bridge Beyond Addiction

Research shows, being a part of a sober community environment, with others living a lifestyle of recovery, substantially increase the chances of sustaining long-term recovery. For many, recovery residences are that vital bridge from inpatient treatment to sober communities and independent living. Quality recovery residences provide a family-like living environment, free from alcohol and illicit drug use, centered on peer support, and connections that promote sustained recovery from substance use.

Bridge Beyond Addiction supports this process by providing financial grants for qualified individuals from the greater Lehigh Valley, who are leaving inpatient treatment programs and have chosen to enter approved sober living communities.
